Mari Holzer. Bench. June 22nd , 2017.
First and foremost, you need to like how the bench looks. This is entirely personal and there is little to say here. But I recommend you check some image galleries online and see what kind of benches are available out there just so you get an idea. Then, the design of the bench must fit to some extend the design of your garden especially if you have other garden furniture.
On the other hand the largest bench isn't always the best. You should consider the space you have and where the bench will be located, and make sure it will fit well. This is really important for indoor benches.
Chalk at its core does one thing, it allows for a more firm and secure grip of a bar. When you bench heavy you want every muscle working together to get that bar off of your chest. Your forearms included. Chalking up your hands and the bar will allow you to have a more secure and firm grip, when you squeeze your heart out it will now go the extra mile. Try it, chalk helps, it really does.
Don't neglect the concrete benches. They can look extremely elegant in classic gardens, gardens with a lot of grass and trees. Concrete benches are perfect for do-it-yourself project because they are easy to make and come very cheap. Their disadvantages are mostly two - they can cool quickly when it's cold outside and they can't be moved (at least not easily). A concrete bench remains there once you install it.
